The Six Bardos

About this event

Navigating Life and Death: The Six Bardos as Turning Points Many people think the bardo is something that happens only after death. In fact, the bardo is any transition—from “here” to “there.”

From day to night,
from waking to dreaming,
from this life to the next—
every transition is a bardo.

In that sense, we are going through rebirth every day, though most of us are not aware of it. And each moment of transition is an opportunity to choose.

What these teachings offer is the ability to remain clear amidst change—to not be carried away by habitual patterns at critical moments.

Over five days, you will explore the landscape of the six bardos—six key turning points—and learn to:
Rest in awareness in this life
Cultivate awakening within dreams
Bring awareness to the crucial moments of dying and rebirth, and make wise choices

These teachings also include Amitabha practice, using the Four Causes of the Pure Land to establish a clear and stable path toward rebirth in the Pure Land.
