Mingyur Rinpoche spends most of each year teaching at his monasteries and around the world – and that’s just one part of his wide-ranging dharma activities. In particular, Rinpoche’s life-long interest in learning has also inspired many innovative education projects, aimed at fostering kind and resilient human beings who embody awareness, compassion, wisdom, and joy.
Your offering to Rinpoche will be used to support the projects under Rinpoche’s care, with the funds distributed according to his wishes.
Your donation will support the continued operation of the monasteries under Rinpoche’s care, and the study and practice of the hundreds of monks housed there. This includes the monastic college (shedra) at Tergar Osel Ling Monastery, which offers a 13-year program comprising a preparatory year followed by 12 consecutive years.
Monastic members rely entirely on the generosity of the community for their basic needs — food, shelter, healthcare and resources required for study and teaching. A donation of US$60 (HK$470) covers each sangha member for a month. By supporting a sangha member, you will be enabling a life devoted to preserving timeless wisdom for future generations.
Tergar Schools offer a path of learning for children from kindergarten to secondary school (K-12 education) that weaves together Buddhist wisdom and contemporary approaches to learning. Your support will make it possible for the school to share this innovative education pathway more widely.
