About this event
The monastics of Tergar Oselling Monastery in Nepal, under the guidance of H.E. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, will host a profound in-person retreat featuring the Joy of Living Levels 1 & 2 teachings from September 21-25, 2025. This retreat offers a unique opportunity to engage in guided meditation sessions and receive transformative teachings directly from Rinpoche, suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Participants will also have the opportunity to join the sacred Drubchen Puja and Empowerment on September 26, 2025, as part of their in-person attendance (details on a separate event page). During the afternoons of the Drubchen Puja, group practice sessions will be included to deepen the meditative experience.
Please note: The Joy of Living Levels 1 & 2 teachings are exclusively offered in person at Tergar Oselling Monastery, with no live streaming available. Pre-registration is required for all participants.
What is included in this event?
Joy of Living Levels 1 & 2 Teachings (September 21-25, 2025):
Guided meditation sessions and teachings by H.E. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, tailored for beginners and experienced practitioners, offered in person only (no live streaming).
Drubchen Puja and Empowerment (September 26, 2025):
In-person participants are invited to join the sacred Drubchen Puja and Empowerment, a profound ritual to purify negative karma and accumulate merit (details on a separate event page).
Group Practice Sessions:
During the afternoons of the Drubchen Puja, guided group practice sessions will be held to enhance meditative practice.
Meals:
Lunch will be provided for all in-person participants during the retreat.
Post-Retreat Requirements:
To progress to Joy of Living Level 3, participants must complete 50 hours of practice for Joy of Living Level 1 and 50 hours for Joy of Living Level 2. For details on practice requirements, visit www.learning.tergarasia.org or email learning@tergarasia.org.
In-Person Participation:
Includes access to Rinpoche’s teachings, group practice sessions, lunch, and participation in the Drubchen Puja and Empowerment, requiring pre-registration.
