Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s Dharma Talk in Singapore – On Death & Dying
Since 6pm, a large number of participants has started queuing outside the gate of Kallang Theatre to be let in and seated. The original open schedule at 6:30 has to be brought forward because of enthusiasm of the crowd. Approximately, there were 1200 people attending the Dharma Talk.
During the talk, Rinpoche shared the state of Samadhi of his grandfather when he passed away. In his teachings, Rinpoche told the audience to experience and perceive the mind and body, to recognize the awareness of our own, and also taught the 5 steps in meditation: 1. Let go 2. Motivation 3. Dedicate the merit 4. Pray 5. Rest the mind
Keep practicing these as usual and when the moment of real death comes, our mind will be ready. The mind won’t die, it will become a mind of clarity and bright, broader and clearer.
