This event can be attended in-person or online.

By the power of Buddha Amitabha’s compassion and aspiration, the Profound Practice of Maha Sukhavati will benefit all practitioners, from the advanced meditator to those who are lazy and busy, and even complete beginners.

The Maha Sukhavati practice is reputed to be “a passport to the Pure Land”. It is said in the sutra that a practitioner who completed either 10 sessions of this practice as instructed or seven days of retreat will manifest the many signs of achievement: a longer life, fewer sicknesses, an increase in compassion and wisdom, and perception that sees the Pure Land everywhere, inside and out. And at the moment of dying, the practitioner will successfully navigate the bardos related to death to be directly reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss.

For the advanced practitioner, the Maha Sukhavati practice is one more “insurance” to achieve liberation. For the busy practitioner who has the great merit to receive these teachings, it is a simple and achieveable practice. For the beginner, this is an easy practice that requires only faith and aspiration.

Mingyur Rinpoche’s teaching at this event will be based on a more concise sadhana containing the essence of the main practice of The Sky Dharma Maha Sukhavati Sadhana, making it easier for the modern practitioner’s daily practice. The in-person retreat will offer practitioners all the elements of a complete transmission – empowerment, oral transmission and teaching. Don’t miss it!
