When Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche came to visit Korea for the first time in February 2011, his visit drew a lot of media attention, including that of TV, and there were enthusiastic crowds at Rinpoche’s public talks. Rinpoche combines the best of the both worlds, the traditional, time honored meditation method with the life in this modern world. Such practice has brought great changes to the body, mind and life of the participants, and as a result, Rinpoche’s Korean followers came to establish Tergar Korea. Tergar Korea aims to practice and attain Bodhicitta through meditation and make Ripoche’s program of “meditate anytime, anywhere” widespread in Korea, so that all sentient beings can achieve happiness. Tergar Korea became a part of Tergar Asia in August 2016 under the auspices of Mingyur Rinpoche.
